  • I joined the DELSU in 1998 as Visiting Professor of Animal Science. My appointment was regularised in 2000 as a substantive Professor of Animal Science and by God's grace the appointment made me the first Tenure Professor ipof the Asaba Campus academic community. I have served as Dean of Faculty of Agriculture from 1999-2005. From 1998 to date it has been possible for me to have had a hand with my colleagues to teach and successfully produce quality graduates in agriculture who are at present serving the State and country in various capacities at the public and private sectors. I have taught, supervised and produced scores of postgraduate candidates in the PGD, MSc and PhD categories. At present 10 PhD candidates have graduated from my stable at the Asaba Campus between 1996 and 2019, and more are at advanced stages. In my entire career as a serving academic I have produced uncountable number of 1st degree holders, PGDs, and MSc graduates as well as 13 PhDs and 14 Professors (whom I had supervised their MSc and/or PhD levels). In all those years my academic fields of interest and specialisation have included: General animal agriculture; Livestock production techniques; Animal breeding and genetics; Genomics; Biometrical, population and general quantitative genetics; Agricultural biotechnology; Agricultural statistics and data processing; Research perspectives, designing, planning and reporting methodologies; Pasture and range development and management; and Poultry genetics and hatchery technology. It was based on the above fields that the listed categories of graduates and experts were produced. I am a Catholic Christian, and married with wife and children. To God Be The Glory.
