  • Engr. Dr. Eguakhide ATIKPO is the immediate past Acting Head, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Delta State University, Oleh Campus, Delta State, Nigeria. He is the current Faculty of Engineering Representative to Senate and Postgraduate School, Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D. Civil Engineering (Water Resources and environmental Health Engineering); M.Eng. Civil Engineering (Water Resources and Environmental Engineering); and M.Sc. (Engineering Management) from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria; Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria; and B.Eng. (Civil Engineering) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure , Ondo State, Nigeria. He is a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the International Project Management Professionals (IPMP). He had worked with the Ray Royal Construction Limited, Uromi in Edo state on the supervision of roads and buildings construction projects; Oreoluwa Oduwole Consults at Basorun, Ibadan City, Oyo state on the use of relevant software in the design of storm water drainage systems, design of diverse engineering projects, and preparation of projects implementation schedule; BU-Environmental Systems Consults, Benin City on solid wastes management, pollution monitoring and control in rivers, environmental monitoring and protection, supervision of water supply and electricity extension projects. He was involved in the supervision of telecommunication projects (fiber optics installation and BTS masts construction) with Ohiomon Engineering, Benin City, Edo State. He is a researcher with many journal articles; and with special research interest in contaminated land remediation; solid waste conversion and recycling; river pollution modeling and control; air quality modeling and air pollution control; water, environmental and industrial systems analysis and modelling; and project management. He won an awarded as the best Engineering Researcher at the First University of Benin Research Day, Benin City in 2015. He has featured as guest lecturer severally on different corporate bodies’ platforms - including the African Economic Empowerment Initiative (AEEI) convention in 2017; Club Five Hundred Business School public lecture in 2018; and many more. He was a Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, Igbinedion University Okada, Edo State, Nigeria before joining Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State where he had anchored administration as the Acting Head, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering; researching; and lecturing Water Resources and Environmental Engineering courses. He is the current Engineering Faculty representative to Senate and Postgraduate School. Engr. Dr. Eguakhide ATIKPO is an examiner (Civil Engineering Division) to the council for the regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN); a Consultant of Civil Engineering (Water Resources and Environmental Engineering) to JeffaGeos Surveys and Technical Services, Benin City, Edo State; a facilitator with the Institute of Industrialist and Corporate Administrators of Nigeria, Kaduna, Nigeria; and Club Five Hundred Business School, Benin City, Edo State. He is also a board member of the African Economic Empowerment Initiative (AEEI), Benin City, Nigeria. In pursuit of spiritual gratification and his gospel assignment, he attended the All Nations for Christ Bible Institute in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria and the Special Vocation Bible School under Church of God Mission International for gospel ministerial preparation. He is a gifted servant of God with deep insight into the divine counsel of God-which has stood him out as a unique Bible teacher. He was the coordinator of the Performing Art and Theological Institute, an arm of Audacious Faith Christian Ministries, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Engr. Dr. Eguakhide ATIKPO has Uhonmora–Ora in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State in Nigeria as his land of nativity.
