  • Engineer Dr OGHOGHO Ikponmwosa who is a Senior Lectrurer in the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Delta State University holds a B.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and M.Eng.and Ph.D degrees in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering. He has over 13 years teaching and research experience which began at Igbinedion University, Okada then Landmark University, Omu-Aran and now at Delta State University. He was Acting Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Igbinedion University Okada, for over two years and has also recently handed over after a two year successful tenure as Ag.HOD in DELSU. He is a registered member with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He has ongoing collaborations with IGI Global and First Atlantic Semiconductors and Microelectronics Ltd. He developed a road map to develop and diffuse microelectronics and embedded systems technologies in Nigeria and that to use mobile phones in diffusing innovative farm information to Nigerian farmers. He has also pioneered the proposal for the establishment of Microelectronics and Embedded Systems Design Training Centre in his State and awaiting approval. He has a research group made up of undergraduate students presently investigating other areas left out in his Ph.D research titled “Investigation of the throughput obtained in IEEE802.11b and IEEE802.11g WLAN systems under identical real life scenarios and environments”. He has attended several International conferences, published several journal articles and book chapters and serves as a reviewer in book projects and a journal houses. He uses his spare time to do the work of Missions and Discipleship training which is an integral part of his purpose for living. He believes anything is possible if we can dream of it, receive grace to pursue it, develop a working plan for it and summon the will to keep living daily with the discipline it takes to achieve it.
