  • Engr P.U. Osame is Lecturer I in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Delta State University Abraka, Oleh Campus, Nigeria where he has been working as an academic staff since November 2007. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (B.ENG) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Benin with option in Fluid Mechanics in January 2001 and a post graduate certificate in Engineering from the Robert Gordon University, United Kingdom, through the Shell Intensive Training Programme (SITP/1) in 2002. He obtained a Master of Engineering (M.ENG) degree in Industrial Engineering in March 2005 with his project in Project Management using Programme Evaluation and Review Techniques (PERT). He is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and has been teaching Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Engineering Mathematics and Heat Transfer at the undergraduate level for well over 12 years. He coordinated the students industrial work experience for 2 years (2015-2017) which made the Delta State University to liaise with various industries involving oil and gas, telecom, transportation, automobile, etc. In Campus Management, he worked as a Faculty Examination Officer for 2 years (2017-2019) in addition to being a member of different committees (such as chairman of committee on repair of campus buses, member of house allocation committee, member of university committee on renewable energy in 2017, etc). He is currently doing his doctorate at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, United Kingdom with interest in fluid flow in porous media and heat transfer, applying modelling using Ansys for computational fluid dynamics with some experience in composite materials such as carbon reinforced epoxy and glass reinforced epoxy.
