Area of Specialization: Industrial/Environmental Microbiology
Department of Microbiology
I am an Associate Professor of Industrial/environmental Microbiology at Delta State University, Abraka. My academic pursuit has spanned over a period of about thirty years during which I have been lecturing and supervising projects at both undergraduate and graduate levels while also being involved in researches and other administrative functions. Research Interest: Effect of pollutants on soil microflora Analyzing the toxicity of industrial wastes and their impact on the environment Treating wastes and waste polluted environment with microorganisms; successfully treated tannery and fibre cement roofing sheet waste with indigenous microorganisms Using microorganisms in some industrial processes and to synthesize some industrial products such as enzymes, bates for leathermanufacture Membership of Professional bodies: Nigerian Society of Microbiology, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria, American Society of Microbiology
