Department of Fine & Applied Arts
Dr. Esimike Uchebuike Roland was born on the 20th of November, 1966 and hails from Obiaruku in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State. He attended Auchi Polytechnic and bagged O.N.D in 1988, B.A(Hons)Painting from University of Benin with a 2nd Class (Hons), Upper Division, in 1992. He Further obtained, M.F.A, (Painting), M.A (Art History) and Ph.D. in Studio Art (Painting) from Delta State University, Abraka in 2002, 2008 and 2015 respectively. He published several articles in reputable journal, both internationally and locally with several exhibitions to his credit. Currently, He works with Delta State University in the Fine and Applied Arts Department where he is also the current Unit Head of Painting Section. He is married with children.
