On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Governing Board members, the Staff of the Centre, I warmly welcome you to DELSU Centre for Distance Learning, Abraka - Delta State, Nigeria.
The Centre is at the forefront of using technology to drive learning in the 21st Century. Flexible learning is our keyword and we are always striving to improve the flexibility of our programme delivery to match our motto: Expanding Knowledge for Character and Service. We have a crop of highly experienced, well trained, and well-motivated Professors, Administrators, e-tutors and Learner Supports Staff to drive our flexible learning via our unique Learning Management System (LMS) that is supplemented with a maximum of two weeks face-to-face facilitation and examinations using the best learning model. Learners are provided with printed course materials and interactive DVD that contains all the course materials in mix-media format.
We provide three levels of supports namely: prospective learners, current learners, and Alumni. It is pertinent to mention that we have made considerable progress since the inception of the Center in 2019 with an increasing learner population. This was achievable in part to the smooth academic calendar and strong dedication by all the Centre’s stakeholders.
