Dr Ben-Azu Benneth of the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine is awarded the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) Early Career Independent Principal Investigator (PI) 2024 Award as a young Independent Principal Investigator Grant. Dr Ben-Azu Benneth is the PI in the Joint DELSU Canadian-Israel Neuroscience and Biopsychiatry Laboratory, a collaborative effort generously supported by the International Development Research Center in Canada. His primary research focus encompasses neuroscience-based experiments, including behavioural studies, biochemical and molecular assays. The laboratory is equipped to undertake a wide range of research methodologies, notably including ELISA, western blot techniques, free-floating immunohistochemistry, and fluorescent microscopy. His recent Early Career Independent Principal Investigator Grant is to support the purchase of laboratory consumables for the training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Joint DELSU Canadian-Israel Neuroscience and Biopsychiatry Laboratory in DELSU.
