The mission of the Directorate of Research and Innovation, Delta State University, Abraka shall be to provide a structural and operational framework for research and innovation activities in support of the University's mission. This framework shall guide all relevant stakeholders and collaborators involved in research and innovation, to ensure that researchers' rights and obligations are well-defined. Furthermore, the Directorate shall offer guidance in line with the University's policies, initiatives, and objectives for training programs, research compliance as well as the advancement of research. It shall also be responsible for the University's research partnerships and collaborations with academic institutions, corporations/foundations, and other third parties, as well as community-based research training and service activities.
Our goal is to create an atmosphere at Delta State University, Abraka where creativity and research thrive, advancing knowledge and improving society. Our goal is to make the University a pivotal point of reference nationally and globally in innovative research that complies with all applicable legal and ethical criteria by offering a comprehensive policy that defines best practices and ethical standards for research.
