I am Sunday Oba Akparobi, a Professor of Agronomy with specialization Environmental Physiology/Breeding in the Department of Agronomy, Forestry and Wildlife, Faculty of Agriculture, Delta State University, Asaba Campus, Delta State, Nigeria. I was born 14th July, 1965 at Ozoro, Isoko North local Government Council, Delta State. I attended Ethiope Primary School, Sapele, Delta State and New State High School, Mushin, Lagos State. I had B.Tech. Agric (Crop Production) from The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State; M.Sc. (Agronomy) and Ph.D from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State. Also, I had M. Inf. Science from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, specialising in software development and strong affection for biometric development. I had a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, Delta State. I had been involved in over thirty years progressive experience in multidisciplinary research and teaching in crop production in an international agricultural research institute and tertiary institute. I have been teaching environmental sciences, plant physiology/ breeding, biometrics related courses. I had attended several statistical training workshops. I am knowledgeable in the use of several computer softwares, especially statistical analysis packages (SAS, GENSTAT,, MATMODEL and SPSS). Professor S. O. Akparobi has authored a textbook in the areas of statistical software development and agriculture. He is an active consultant in the field of statistical designs and analysis. He has worked as consultant biometrician in IITA, Ibadan. Also he is a consultant in the field of Environmental Impact Assessment. Professor Akparobi has been involved in design, supervision, management, data analyses, and report writing on studies related to environment sciences. He has published a lot of articles in local and international journals. I am married to Mrs. Ngozi Jazinta Odogwu Akparobi and we had five children: Ajiroghene, Okeoghene, Oreva, Oghale and Ewoma. -Membership of learned/professional societies: such as -Environmental Society of Nigeria
