  • Area of Specialization: Agricultural Programme Evaluation and Rural Sociology
  • Department of Agriculture Extension

  • Bishop Ochuko Ovwigho holds an M.Sc and Ph.D in the year 2000 from the Premier University of Ibadan, Nigeria in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development while the B.Sc. (Ed) was obtained from UNN. Dr. Ovwigho joined the services of the Delta State University in February, 1999 as Assistant Lecturer. He has held several positions including that of Acting Head of Department 2013 to 2015. He is a seasoned academic and researcher in the area of Agricultural Programme Evaluation and Rural Sociology. He has published extensively in the area of Agricultural Programme Evaluation. He teaches by inspiration and proper guidance. There is need to emphasise that he does not publish because he wants to perish tomorrow. Presently he remains the only authority in measurement and scaling in Nigeria as evinced by his research work. He was the first to publish a book on the Logical Framework Monitoring and Evaluation Model. The book 'Principles of Youth Development in Africa' in which he is the leading author is well demanded and required as practical guide in Child Culture as well as in the teaching of rural youth extension and education courses in Colleges and Universities. He has supervised two Ph.D students, several Masters' Degree and undergraduate students. My life interest is finding solution to disunity in the human race.
