Dr. Ayuba Giwa was the foundation head Ag., Department of Jurisprudence and International Law of the Faculty of Law of The Delta State University Abraka, Oleh Campus, Nigeria. He is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the said Faculty. He is the Founder Principal Partner of the law firm of A. O. Giwa & Associates founded in 1983 and a long-serving member of the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association which body considered him fit and proper and recommended him for direct appointment from the Bar to the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2017. His research interests include Jurisprudence, Equity and Trusts, Financial Institutions Regulations, and Admiralty. He is married to Dr. Mrs. Awushetu Giwa and they are both blessed with three children; Halim, Jubril, and Jemila.
