  • Area of Specialization: Environmental Pollution and Control; process dynamics, simulation and control; renewable energy.
  • Department of Chemical Engineering

  • Dr. Kigho Moses Oghenejoboh ventured into the oil and gas industry at the young age of 19, when he joined the Nigerian Gas Company (NGC) limited (a subsidiary of NNPC) as a gas plant operator, after graduating from the second class of the Petroleum Training Institute in 1981 . Motivated by strong drive for higher education and his deep disire to be an academic, Dr Oghenejoboh left NGC after nine fruitful years of service for a degree program in Chemical Engineering at the University of Port-Harcourt in 1989. Upon his graduation in 1995, he proceeded to the University of Benin for a Master’s program which he completed in 1998. In realization of his dream, he joined the University of Uyo as Lecturer II in 1999. In 2003, he was invited by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC, West) upon recommendation by NGC to coordinate the operations of the gas compressor stations in Eriemu, Afiesere, Kokori, Utorogu and Jones Creek that the SPDC acquired from NGC at that time. After serving in this capacity for three years, Dr. Oghenejoboh returned to the University of Uyo in 2006 while running his PhD program at the then Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt. On learning that a Faculty of Engineering had been established in his home University, Dr. Oghenejoboh left University of Uyo for the Delta State University as Lecturer I in 2009. Dr. Oghenejoboh who is currently an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering had published more than 30 papers in reputable national and high impart international journals. He had also attended and presented papers at national and international conferences in his area of specialization. Dr Oghenejoboh is happily married with children
