  • A BRIEF PROFILE OF IVWORIN GODWIN AVWEROSUOGHENE Godwin Avwerosuoghene Ivworin is a Scholar, Researcher, Counsellor, Translator, Chaplain and Senior Technical Instructor at the Delta State University, Abraka. He holds the following qualifications: NCE (Urhobo/ Social Studies) (COEWA, B.A Linguistics (Delsu), M.A Linguistics (Written Literature) and PHD in view Linguistics (Written Literature) (Nigeria). He was a Translator on contract to the Urhobo Bible translation review project with the Bible Society of Nigeria. His wealth of experience in Urhobo as a former Urhobo language tutor attached to the Delta State University secondary school and presently as a University Senior Technical Instructor teaching Urhobo Language, Literature, Translation and Linguistics courses at the undergraduate level is widely acclaimed. He has served as a member of the Urhobo Language Curriculum Development and Translation Committee who translated the Nigerian Languages Curriculum, from English into the Urhobo language. He has participated in some local and international work shops and seminars. He has few publications and has co-author an Urhobo Primer that is in use at the primary and secondary school
