- Dr. Nyemike Awunor is an Associate Professor and consultant public health physician- MB;BS (Ilor.), PGDip.MATHE (IUIU), MPH (Ben.), FMCPH (Nig.)- passionate about teaching, research and community service. He is the Ag. Head of Department (Community Medicine) and was a past Ag. Director of the Community-Based Experience and Services (COBES) programme of the College of Health Sciences, DELSU. A trainer at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, he was a past Nigerian Technical Aids Corp. Volunteer at the Habib Medical School, Islamic University in Uganda, Kampala Campus (NTAC, 2018-2020). His research interests span clinical epidemiology; reproductive & family health; and occupational & environmental health. He is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria (APHPN), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and is currently the Chairman Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) DELSUTH Oghara chapter. He has been involved in public health-related consultancies with the Delta State Ministry of Health (SMOH), NCDC, NPHCDA, NHIA, and the WHO. He has over 60 articles published in relevant peer-reviewed foreign, national, and local journals.
