  • I, Matthew Obaineh Ojezele hail from Obeidu, Uromi in Esan north-east Local Government Area of Edo State. I am a seasoned Veterinarian, Lecturer, Researcher and Administrator of over a twenty-year period. Educated at IMG Primary School, Ibadan, Abadina and Government Colleges, Ibadan, University of Ibadan, Ibadan and hold Postgraduate certificates of the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus, Cambridge, United Kingdom, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel and the University College Hospital (University of Ibadan) Nigeria/Institute of Immunology, Luxembourg. Several publications from my research works are indexed in peer reviewed Journals in addition to holding positions in the Editorial Board of some Journals. The impact of the outcomes of my studies is attested to by accolades within and outside the country. In the last ten years, I have attended courses, workshops and seminars on issues related to Education, Research and Management. In some of these meetings, I performed the role of resource person. In a number of ways, I have contributed to developments at the Community, State, Federal and International levels as evidenced by my rendering services to some organizations notably, the National Board for Technical Education, the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association and Nigerian Bioinformatics and Genomics Network. Also as Head of Department, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, College of Health Sciences, Delta State University, Abraka. I am a motivated professional with collaboration proficiency and extensive teaching experience. As a person who thrives in high-pressure and fast-paced situations, I strive for positive results through the application of positive team spirit and by motivating colleagues. In any position, I am able to visualize success and identify innovative and effective strategies for achieving it. I have artfully balanced workplace objectives and productive relationships, inspiring strategies and insightful suggestions to achieve set objectives. My critical thinking and leadership strengths have enabled my professional growth. As Veterinarian/lecturer/Head of Department I have a grasp on all aspects of administration cum education operational management. Using guidelines and procedures that jibbed with institution standards as well as local and international best practices I contributed to the implementation of departments and staff, coordinating projects and activities and keeping institutions operations running smoothly.
