  • Professor Bernhard ISHIORO had his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Hons) Degree in Economics (DELSU), Master of Science (M.Sc) Degree in Economics (Awka) and, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Economics from the University of Benin, Benin City in collaboration with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Nairobi, Kenya and Five other African Universities including University of Ibadan, Nigeria ( A Programme jointly sponsored by the World Bank, African Development Bank, International Monetary Fund, Bill Gate Foundation, Ford Foundation and Other Multilateral/Donor Agencies). Professor. ISHIORO was an AERC Scholar to a Six-Months World Bank, African Development Bank and International Monetary Fund sponsored Intensive Elective Courses Programme in Arusha , Tanzania. He has attended many training programmes and Workshops on Econometric Modeling, Simulation and Forecasting both at the National and Regional levels. Professor. ISHIORO is a Full member of the Nigerian Economic Society and the World Health Organization (WHO) Health Technical Finance Network Community. He has chaired about 4 Concurrent Sessions during the Nigerian Economic Society annual conferences. Professor. ISHIORO was acting Head of Department of Economics , Faculty of the Social Sciences, Delta State University for 4 Years from February, 2016 to March , 2020 and Winner of the Professor Bright Ekuerhare Best Head of Department Award. He has chaired the Viva Voce of over 60 M.Sc and 8 PhD Students. He has supervised over 30 M.Sc Dissertations and. he has successfully supervised about 5 PhD theses and currently supervising / co-supervising 9 PhD Theses. He is a Reviewer to many Learned Society Journals including the Nigerian Journal of Economic and Social Studies ( NJESS - Journal of the Nigerian Economic Society),Scientific papers Journal of the University of Pardubice Series D ( Official Journal of the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic) and Economic Review, Journal published by Croatian Economic Association. Professor ISHIORO is an Expert in Econometric Software and, Econometric Software Consultant / Facilitator to many institutions and corporate organizations. He is a Public Speaker and a teacher with flair for details . He is a lover of Books.
