- Edirin JEROH, is a Professor of Accounting of the Delta State University, Abraka. He obtained his B.Sc. Degree in Accounting in addition to a Masters degree in Banking and Finance from the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Delta State (2003 and 2007 respectively). He equally holds an M.Sc. degree in Accounting from the University of Benin, Benin-City, Edo State, Nigeria (2008), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degree in Accountancy from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria (2016). He is an administrator with requisite experience over the years with proven records as Head, Department of Accounting and Finance, DELSU, Abraka (March, 2018 – March, 2022), Associate Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences (May, 2022 – June, 2024), Chairman, DELSU Certificate Verification Committee (October, 2023 – Date), Director, University Electronic Examination Centre, DELSU, Abraka (April, 2024 – Date) and several others. He is a Fellow of the Market Research Society of Nigeria (MRS). He is also a member and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and has over the years, served as member of various ICAN committees such as the ICAN-MCATI Monitoring and Implementation Committee (2020 Presidential Year); Member, ICAN, Corporate Reporting Faculty Board (2022 Presidential Year); and Member, ICAN Members Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) committee (2023 Presidential Year). He is the ICAN Ambassador to the Delta State University, Abraka and currently, the Co-supervisor to PhD candidates at the Lincoln University College, Malaysia and several others in the Delta State University, Abraka. Given his experience in administration and research, Professor JEROH serves as Reviewer and/or member of the editorial boards of several national and international journals of repute including the prestigious International Journal of Contemporary Accounting Issues – IJCAI (formerly International Journal of Accounting and Finance - IJAF), a publication of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is a Board Member of the Society for West African Internal Audit Practitioners (SWAIAP) and the Chairman of the Governing Board of Izisco Obos Institute of Maritime Technology, Warri, Delta State. Professor JEROH has attended several Human Capacity Development trainings and workshops and has featured as Facilitator in workshops on Risk Management, Data Analytics, and IFRS/IPSAS template design and implementation amongst others. He is a consultant and facilitator to institutions and consulting firms – public and private, and has featured in so many training programmes within and outside Nigeria on agribusiness, tax planning and fiscal administration, risk analysis, risk-based auditing, COSO framework, IFRS and IPSAS implementation, report writing and strategy, public expenditure review amongst others. He is a regular facilitator and guest lecturer to the West African Institute of Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM). He is also a Consultant/Peer Reviewer to Vincent Ahwi & Co., Chartered Accountants, Lagos, Nigeria. Professor JEROH’S love for research is evident in his over 100 research output that has featured in national and international journals of repute. He is loved by his peers, colleagues and students. Professor JEROH is happily married to Mrs Esemena JEROH and the marriage is blessed with lovely children.
