  • Okolugbo, Chinedu Bernard is a dogged and disciplined academic who obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Zoology (Second Class, Upper Division) from the Delta State University, Abraka in 2005. In 2011, he obtained his MSc. degree in Zoology (Parasitology) with distinction from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he together with Prof. S. A. Luka was recipient of the University Basic Research Grant (UBRG) for outstanding scholarship. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Benin, Benin City where his research is focusing on lymphatic falariasis; one of the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in Ndokwa East and West LGA of Delta State. He is a parasitologist to the core with research interest in hydatidosis, toxoplasmosis, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), fish parasitology and molecular genetics. Mr Okolugbo joined the services of the Delta State University, Abraka in 2014 as an Assistant Lecturer in the then Department of Zoology and has served the University in various capacities. He is a member of the Zoological Society of Nigeria (ZSN) and the Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN).
