  • Felix I. Chinyem, PhD is an alumnus of Delta State University, Abraka; Federal University of Technology, Owerri; and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; where he obtained his B Sc Geology (Upper Division); M Sc (Geophysics); and PhD (Geophysics) degrees, respectively. Felix I. Chinyem, PhD is an accomplished academic and researcher based in Nigeria. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, Delta State University, Abraka, and has made significant contributions in Hydrogeophysics, Groundwater studies and Environmental geoscience. His specialization is in Applied Geophysics, Environmental Geology, Hydrogeology, with particular focus on groundwater systems, addressing groundwater evaluation and aquifer characterization in Nigeria’s Niger Delta region. With over 37 published works in prestigious national and international journals, Felix I. Chinyem, PhD has established himself as a leading figure in Geology and Geophysics, earning the admiration of colleagues both in Nigeria and abroad. At the departmental, faculty and university levels, respectively, he has held numerous academic, administrative, and policy positions with distinction. He has been Students’ level adviser (2008-date); Departmental time-table officer (2012-2018); Departmental SIWES coordinator (2019- date); Faculty representative to Faculty of Engineering (2020-2022); member University teaching and time-table monitoring committee (2020-date); and Deputy Director, Advance Research Centre (2023- date). He is a professional member (corporate) of Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society; Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists; and Society of Exploration Geophysicists. Felix I. Chinyem, PhD is married to Mrs. Joy Anwuli Chinyem and the marriage is blessed with three children.
