- Okonta, Vinella had her National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretarial Administration from the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi; Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE); Master in Education (M.Ed.) Educational Administration and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Educational Planning from the Delta State University, Abraka in 2013. She joined the services of the University as a Confidential Secretary Grade I in 1993 and rose through the ranks to the position of Principal Personal Secretary in 2010. In January 2021, she was converted to the position of Lecturer I in the Department of Educational Management & Foundations. She has published in some national and international journals.
