  • Ozuri Rachael was born on the 29th of September, 1989. She hails from Erhobaro-Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. She had her primary education in Divine Success Nursery and Primary School, Effurun-Warri Delta State in 2000. Her secondary education was in Odin Comprehensive College Effurun in Uvwie L.G.A of Delta State. She obtained her B.Sc. (Ed.) Guidance and Counselling Degree with First Class honours degree from Delta State University Abraka in 2011/2012 session, M.Ed in Counselling Psychology with Distinction from University of Benin in 2015/2016 and Ph.D in Counselling Psychology in 2020/2021, University of Benin. Ozuri Rachael taught in Novena University in 2013 as a youth corp member. After her NYSC, she was retained as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Faculty of Education, Delta State University, Abraka where she taught guidance and counseling. She lectures and supervises students on teaching practice and counseling practicum. She has currently risen to the rank of Lecturer 11 in 2019. Ozuri Rachael has published a number of scholarly articles in reputable learned journals. She is a member of (CASSON) Counselling Association of Nigeria among others. Ozuri Rachael has held several positions of responsibilities in the course of her teaching career. Some of them are; members screening/certificate verification committee, member reconstitution of the teaching and timetable monitoring committee, member constitution of committee on Quality teaching, member faculty of education accreditation team, member counseling practicum committee, coordinator departmental ICT focal point., nominated as a congregation representatives at the 11th convocation ceremony. Ozuri Rachael has acquired research teaching and counseling experiences for the years and she has been privileged to assist quite a number of students to overcome obstacles experienced in the learning process as well as personal –social issues. Her research interest is on innovative strategies to assist youths and teenagers in their moral, social, psychological, educational and overall development. She has supervised several B.Ed. students in the field of Guidance and Counselling.
