About Us

The center is anchored on four gender pillars that focus on gender and development Training, Research, Practice and Policy (TRPP).

The CGDS becomes central to the development, promotion, planning, evaluation and implementation of not only the gender development agenda, but the fulfillment of the sustainable development goals in Nigeria.

1. To conduct gender and development research for better understanding of Gender Histories (GH) and Gender Social Relations (GSR) particularly in Nigeria. 2. To challenge discriminatory Gender Practices (DGP), through Gender Awareness Campaigns (GAC), Gender-Based Training (GBT) and Gender Analysis (GA) that will inform Gender Development Policy and Practices in Nigeria. 3. To establish donor partnerships with key stakeholders in government, non-governmental agencies, civil society groups and academic research community on how tp advance the gender agenda in delta State and Nigeria in general.
