  • Engr. Kesiena Owebor is a purpose-driven scholar in sustainable energy future. He holds B.Eng and M.Eng degrees in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Port Harcourt, where he also bagged an unprecedented CGPA of 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 in his master studies. Presently, he is at the concluding stage of his doctoral research at the University of Port Harcourt. Engr. Kesiena Owebor lectures Energy and Thermofluid related courses at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Delta State University. His research interest spans through energy modelling and climate actions – renewable energy, clean cooking, fuel cell systems, low-high grade thermal energy conversion technologies, and low-emission & energy transition future. Engr. Kesiena Owebor started publishing since 2018 and he has not less than eight (8) publications with Elsevier and Springer journals, in the ranks of Applied Energy, Renewable Energy, Energy Conversion & Management, Energy, and Energy & Climate Change journal; and over one hundred (100) citations. He is also a reviewer with the Elsevier's Applied Energy journal. He is very familiar with bottom-up, top-down and hybrid modelling tools such as the Low Emissions Analysis Platform (LEAP) and IMACLIM. He has basic knowledge in the use of MATLAB and Engineering Equation Solver (EES). Engr. Kesiena Owebor is a fully registered Mechanical Engineer by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is an active user of Research Gate, LinkedIn and also visible in Google Scholar. His ORCiD is https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0511-2653. He is an adjunct member of the Nigeria long term energy scenarios/modelling project (Deep Decarbonisation Pathway - Nigeria). He is also a recipient of the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence Centre for Oilfield Chemicals Research (ACE-CEFOR) partial scholarship award.
