Elizabeth Oghoteru OYIBOCHA is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Nurse Educator (RNE) and Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN). I had my first degree in Nursing Science (B.N.Sc) from Delta State University, Abraka, Post Graduate Diploma in Education (P.G.D.E) from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State and M.Sc. (Nursing) with specialty in Community Health/Public Health Nursing from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. I am a Fellow of the West Africa College of Nursing (FWACN) and Member, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. As a nurse clinician, I served under the Hospital Management Board, Delta State for over eight years. And as a lecturer (nurse educator) lecturing nursing students on Research, Primary Health Care/Community Health Nursing, Maternal and Child Health, Nursing Process/Nursing Care Plan and Standardized Nursing Languages (SNLs) at the State School of Nursing, Warri, Delta State for more than seven years. I am an advocate of the application of SNLs into clinical nursing practice. I have attended local and international conferences, seminars and workshops and presented some papers. I am privileged to have been trained as a Master Trainer of Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme (MCPDP) by the NMCN. Also, I am a regular Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria External Examiner. I have served as NMCN accreditation team member and Secretary, Delta State Schools of Nursing Curriculum, Procedure Manual and Students' Handbook Review Committee. And as a Resourse Person and Assistant State Facilitator of MCPDP, Delta State Chapter that is saddled with the responsibility of organizing workshops and trainings to update and upgrade nurses and midwives on current trends and issues in nursing and midwifery while promoting and maintaining excellence in nursing/midwifery education and practice. I received the Vice Chancellor award as the Best Graduating Student (pioneer set) first degree, Department of Nursing Science, Delta State University, Abraka in 2010. Currently, I am the Secretary of the Research and Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Delta State University, Abraka.
