Area of Specialization: Geophysics
Department of Physics
I am a renowned Professor of Geophysics effective 1st Oct 2015 and a Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Physics (NIP). I obtained my MSc and PhD degrees from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. I have taught many students at undergraduate, master and PhD levels, many of whom are Professors or contributing positively in the outer world. I have also supervised to completion many postgraduate Geophysics works. As a Physicist, I have visited and interacted with over forty Universities and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria in different capacities and attended over 25 professional conferences. I am a very active participant in all my professional bodies: I was a Council Member and National Financial Secretary of Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) 2014 -2018, Treasurer of Nigerian Union of Radio and Planetary Science (NUPRS) and member, Geophysical Association of Nigeria (GAN). I am always ready to effectively deliver in any assignment before me. I am reviewer/assessor to a number of journal publishers, and Universities. I was a DELSU Senator as Ag HOD (Physics) 2002- Aug.2004, Associate Dean (Faculty of Science) 2007 –2009 and Ag HOD (Physics) 2010 – 2012 and the Departmental Post Graduate coordinator (Physics) from 2014 to 2018. I have functioned as member of several committees in the University and now Chairman, DELSU TETFUND Manuscript and Book Development Committee.
