2020 PROMOTION EXAMINATION FOR STAFF
Management wishes to inform all staff in the Senior Administrative and Technical Cadre that the Promotion Examination for the year 2020 is scheduled for Thursday, February 18, 2021.
For the avoidance of doubt, the areas to be covered for this promotion examination are as follows:
i. General Knowledge
ii. General Knowledge of the University System
iii. Area of specialty
iv. Computer Proficiency
The above information is for the general guidance of the effected staff.
RETURNING OF ALL OFFICIAL VEHICLES AT THE CLOSE OF OFFICE TO THE POOL
This is to inform the University Community, particularly staff assigned with official vehicles that the University Governing Council, at its 113th regular meeting held on Wednesday 2nd and 3rd December, 2020 respectively, has decided as follows:
A. All vehicles should be returned to the University Central Pool everyday by the respective drivers.
B. That drivers should be logging in the vehicles on return to the pool and log out the following day when removing the vehicles from the pool
C. All users of official vehicles who may have need to spend a night or more outside the university’s immediate environment with the vehicle should obtain the permission of the Vice-Chancellor or any other competent officer of the university.
D. All applications for fund in relation to routine maintenance, procurement of parts and major repairs of vehicles should be routed through the Director of Works and Services, or the respective heads of Works and Services in Asaba and Oleh campus.
E. That after a repair/procurement of parts, the retirement of the advance should be processed from the applicant through the Director of Works and Services or his representative; a copy of the retirement document should also be kept in the file of the particular vehicle at the Works and Services department.
F. Each University vehicle should have a log book to be kept by the driver and the Officer to whom the vehicle is assigned to ensure that all purchases and repairs in relation to the vehicle will be recorded
G. With the aid of the log book, the Director of Works and Services could call up vehicles for inspection when the need arises.
The above process, if adhered to, would ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency from the end-users of official vehicles.
