VICE-CHANCELLOR COMMISSIONS ULTRA MODERN PROFESSORIAL COMPLEX IN FACULTY OF EDUCATION

The Faculty of Education has again worn a new look as the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Victor F. Peretomode, recently commissioned an ultra modern professorial complex in the Faculty.  The complex is one of the Phase II projects approved for the University by NEEDS Assessment in the 2013 Intervention Year.

The Vice-Chancellor, in a brief remark reiterated that there is the need to provide a befitting and comfortable offices for professors of the University, given the fact that to whom much is given, much is expected.  He noted that the journey towards the provision of befitting and conducive offices for professors of the University has just begun with the Faculty of Education, adding that in a matter of time professors of other faculties will benefit.

In addition to the well-equipped offices the Vice-Chancellor assured that electricity generating plant and internet connectivity would be installed in the complex while each benefitting professor would be given a Laptop to boost their research endeavours.  

In response, the visibly excited Dean of the Faculty, Professor Emperor Kpangban, described the gesture as first of its kind in this part of the world and appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for making professors of the University proud. He also commended the architectural work adding that it added beauty, both to the vicinity of the Faculty of Education and the entire University.

Those present at the ceremony include, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor S. O. Asagba; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Mrs. Grace. N. Ogwu; Registrar, Mr. D. A. Urhibo; University Bursar, Mr. J. Egbare; University Librarian, Professor S. O. Uwaifo; and staff of the Faculty.  

SALES OF BROILERS AT DIL FARMS

The Management of Delsu Investment Limited (DIL) wishes to inform interested members of the University community and its environs that the University Farm, is in the process of selling BROILERS at affordable price of N3,000.00.

Interested persons should contact the Farm Manager, Mrs. E. Okoro, for the purchase.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The Federal Government has declared Friday, 19th and Monday, 22nd April, 2019 as public holiday to mark this year’s Easter Celebration.

The public holiday is in line with the Christian tenet which recognizes Friday, 19th April as Good Friday, and Monday, 22nd April as Easter Monday respectively.  However, normal activities will resume on Tuesday, 23rd April, 2019.

As usual, essential services would remain operational during the holiday. 

The Vice-Chancellor wishes all Christian brethren and other members of the University community a blissful celebration.
