This is to inform the University community particularly students that the Vice-Chancellor Professor Victor F. Peretomode, has graciously approved Sunday, April 21 to Sunday, April 28, 2019 for the 2019 students’ week celebration.   Below is the schedule of activities:

OBITUARY

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Victor F. Peretomode, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff and students of Delta State University, regrets to announce the death of late Mr. John Ogbeifo Umaya which sad event occurred on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 after a brief illness.

Late Mr. John Ogbeifo Umaya joined the services of the University on November 17, 1993 as Head Library Attendant in the Main Library and until his death; he was Assistant Library Officer in the Library Department of the University.

He was aged 63 and survived by his wife six children, one grandchild, brothers, sisters and other relatives.

OBITUARY

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Victor F. Peretomode, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff and students of Delta State University, regrets to announce the death of late Mr. Moses Okukpere  which sad event occurred on Sunday, January 20, 2019 after a brief illness.

Late Mr. Moses Okukpere joined the services of the University on June 20, 1990 as Driver in Works and Services Department and until his death; he was a Senior Transport Supervisor attached to University Health Centre.

He was aged 61 and survived by two wives, nine Children, six Grand Children, one Great Grand-child, brothers, sisters and other relatives.
